Lots 1-3

  • 1909 – Lot 1 Marble Works
  • Washington County Motors and port of entry — trucks had to be inspected if they had too much gas — had to pay Nebraska tax on it. Trucks would come into Nebraska almost empty and gas up at pumps in front of the dealership.
  • Washington County Bank

Lots 4-9

  • Washington County Motors — Mr. H. K. Peterson & son, Don.
  • Sold to Don Feer in the 1950s
  • Washington County Bank

Lots 10-11

Block 47, lots 10-11, Washington Street, Blair, Nebraska
  • 1908 – Two story wooden building
  • Town Tavern or Rusty’s Town Tavern (clarification needed)
  • Home to Korshoj Construction
  • Korshoj Building — on Lot 11

Lot 12

Block 47, lot 12, Washington Street, Blair, Nebraska
  • 1962 or 1963 – Used record (45s) shop
  • 1960s through the 1970s – Pizza Chick restaurant was in this building
  • Late 1970s – Chauncey Wilkins had Tae Kwon Do upstairs
  • Law Offices of Roy Andersen and Greg Drew

Washington County Bank Drive Through
Located in Block 47, Lot 13 on the south side of Washington Street. 

  • 1909 – Bakery
  • Chrysler/Dodge…torn down in 1948
  • 1940s and 1950s – Curt Rathman Ford Tractor Sales and Service
  • 1956 – Don Feer – Washington County Motors
  • 1960s – 1970s – Washington County Bank Drive Through

Lot 14

Block 47, Lot 14, Washington Street, Blair, Nebraska
  • 1909 – Barber shop
  • 1960s and 1970s – Beck Brothers Barber Shop
  • Either on Lot 13 or Lot 14 was a restaurant and Beck’s barbershop. A Mrs. Petersen ran the restaurant and her husband was the barber.

Lot 15

Block 47, lot 15, Washington Street, Blair, Nebraska
O'hanlon Nuilding, Washington Street, Blair, Nebraska
  • 1890 – to ??- Built as post office
  • 1950 O’Hanlon & O’Hanlon Law Offices
    (Pilot-Tribune door located on west side of building)
    Law office for the O’Hanlon family. John was the latest, but was previous office to his father Clark.
