Lincoln Highway Through Blair

Blair City Council Minutes from November 1, 1932

RESOLVED, that the Lincoln Highway Bureau be and are hereby given the right and authority to move the Lincoln Highway thru the corporate City Limits of Blair, State of Nebraska, as follows:  Said Highway shall proceed from the western terminal of the Blair Bridge to the eastern terminal of the brick paving of Washington Street, thence west on Washington Street to Third Street, thence south on Third Street to South. Street, thence southwest as routed at present.

Said Resolution to cover the widening of Washington Street and Third Street as necessary and construction of an underpass, overpass or grade crossing on Washington Street said widening and construction to beat the entire expense of the Lincoln Highway Bureau. The City Council of Blair; Nebraska, assumes no financial responsibility of any kind whatsoever and furthermore, that the said City of Blair shall be held harmless of any damages of any nature whatsoever and furthermore that the City Council for the City of Blair. State of Nebraska, does hereby confer authority upon the Attorney for the Lincoln Highway Bureau to work in conjunction with the City Attorney for the City of Blair in any legal action necessary with the above. Passed and approved November 1932.
